Virgin Atlantic…..the Ryan Air of long haul flights?

I recently had the misfortune of using Virgin to fly from London to South Africa. It was by choice – you don’t know until you try. Suffice to say (spoiler alert) it was a terrible experience. However, I have the need to vent as long haul flights are generally pain and torture for anyone except the filthy rich or tiny. I am the guy you don’t want to sit next to. I am both tall and overweight. So, take from the big guy – I don’t want to sit next to you either Mr Average. How to create a hotspot on your PC

Start>Run (as Administrator)>cmd Enter this command: netsh wlan show drivers In the output look for: Hosted network supported  : Yes If the answer is YES: Enter this: netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=<Wifi SSID> key=<Wifi Pwd> Once this is done head over to the Network and Sharing Centre: Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center Click Change Adapter Settings Right click on your working internet connection. This would be Ethernet or mobile unless you have multiple Wifi adapters. Go to Sharing Tab, check the first ‘Allow….’ Box, but uncheck the second ‘Allow…’box. In the drop down select the Home Networking Connection that is your newly created Wifi Hotspot. It will be call Microsoft Hosted Network Virtual Adapter. Once you are done your hotspot should be good to go.
